Mr. Reed Update - November 29, 2023

Hello Parents and Guardians,

Here are some updates for the week:

1. Fun Friday:  Mary Street Phoenix Day (Orange and Blue theme)
2. SCC Meeting next Tuesday at 5:30pm.  Hybrid model.  Link for virtual:  https://meet.google.com/hsv-ttdu-nsd
3. Indoor Shoes are required.  Now that the winter weather has arrived, all students need indoor shoes for the classroom and gym.  Please reach out if your child needs a pair of indoor shoes, we will try to provide a pair.
4. Grade 8 Graduation Fundraiser: Holiday Raffle.  For each of the next three weeks, there will be a raffle of prizes in our display case.  Students may buy tickets for 25 cents each of 5 for $1. 
5. Mary Street Oh, Canada Choir.  In response to student requests to record a “Mary Street Oh, Canada,” we are creating a school choir.  Students are invited to attend the choir practices this week.  We will then create an audio recording of the song for our morning announcements.  Permission forms were sent home last week.  Please return the form if your child is interested in singing on the recording.
6. Winter Breakfast at the YMCA.  All students and staff are invited to a special breakfast on Dec. 15th.  We will head across the street for this annual tradition following student entry and attendance that morning.  Watch for permission forms and more info next week.
