Hello Parents and Guardians,

I hope you have a lovely week!  Here are some updates:

1)  Black History Month Celebration.  The Durham Black Educators Network (DBEN) will be hosting a Black History Month Celebration on Thursday, February 15th from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm at Ajax High School. The event will be family focused with a buffet dinner and dessert, keynote speaker, student entertainment, a silent auction and a vendors' market.  We hope you can join us as we celebrate our Black student performing and visual artists.

2)  Head Lice.  There are some cases of head lice in the school.  Please check your child's hair regularly and encourage them to avoid sharing hats, hoodies, and jackets.  If your child has head lice, you are encouraged to comb it out and consider an over-the-counter treatment.  We can provide you with an info sheet from the Durham Region Health Department, if interested.  

3) Pizza Orders.  Our next pizza day in on Feb. 14.  The order forms will go home tomorrow.
